National Study Is Good News For Chamber Members

Membership in your Chamber of Commerce speaks positively about your business, according to the results of a national study by The Schapiro Group, an Atlanta-based market research firm. The study reveals that consumers are 63 percent more likely to do business with a company they believe is a member of the chamber.

Other findings include:
•  When consumers know that a business is a chamber member, they are 44 percent more likely to think favorably about the business.
•  Consumers who are told that a business is a chamber member are 51 percent more likely to be highly aware of it and 57 percent more likely to think positively of its local reputation.
•  When business decision-makers believe that a business is a chamber member, they are 37 percent more likely to think favorably of the business, 51 percent more likely to be highly aware of it, 58 percent more likely to think positively of its local reputation and 59 percent more likely to buy goods and services from it.
•  82 percent of respondents believe that the chamber helps create jobs and promotes local economic development.

The study was sponsored by IBM, Administaff, Jim Blasingame and askjim.biz in cooperation with American Chamber of Commerce Executives, and was conducted by The Schapiro Group and coordinated by Market Street Services.

Here’s what Chamber members are saying about their experiences at Harrison Rally Day 2007!

Just wanted to share with all of you that our first Harrison Rally Day was wonderful.  We had a blast and met a ton of people who want to help Hannah’s Socks!!  Some have already started by collecting in their schools and businesses!

-Doris Turner, President
Hannah’s Socks, LLC

I just wanted to thank you for the booth for Harrison Rally Day.
It was a big hit and we did very well. We would like to sign up
again for next year when the time comes and be in the parade.
Thanks again.

Just wanted to let you know what a great job you did with
Harrison Rally Day. I thought it was fantastic and it seemed
like we had the most people ever. I know that I could not see
the booths across the street from us until late in the day because
there was a steady stream of people going by all day. We had
a couple of new administrators at our booth who had never been
to Harrison Rally Day and they were very impressed with what a
great community effort it was and how many people attended.
